Clam Spread

Ingredients

1lb cream cheese, room temp
1 small tin chopped clams, drained, reserve the juice
1 clove garlic, crushed or finely minced
Crushed crackers

Directions

Beat together the cream cheese, clams and garlic. If needed, add a little of the reserved clam juice. Form into a log shape and roll in crushed soda crackers. Chill overnight. Serve with water crackers or butter crackers.

To make it a little more decorative, you can serve this from large clam shells, well scrubbed, and leave off the crushed crackers. I like to serve it ths way, with the clam shells nestled in a dish of crushed ice.
