1/2 C red wine vinegar Procedures 1. Place vinegar, onion, garlic, mayonnaise, mustard, and basil in a blender and blend until smooth. With the motor running, slowly add the olive oil until emulsified. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. If dressing is too acidic, add sugar to taste (I sometimes use a full teaspoon). 2. Combine the cabbage and carrots in a large bowl. 3. Pour the vinaigrette over and mix to combine. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving. Servings: 6 to 8 Comments This recipe can be made a day ahead of time. |
